Sometimes starting with a clean slate is better than building on a mature project. Our most recent PowerPURL project has proven this statement.
After a week of making additions and modifications to the PowerPURL pages, Sales and Marketing reviewed the project. None of the Sales Team understood any of the pages. Come to think of it, we (the Marketing team) couldn’t even understand the web pages. There was too much complexity for a concept that was supposed to be very simple.
When the meeting ended, we remapped the flow of the pages using a timeline bar with five basic steps to creating powerful campaigns. These steps include:
Descriptions and visual examples are provided under each topic, and a form is provided for viewers to talk to a member of our Sales Team, and find out more about PowerPURL. Now that we’ve created a clean, basic structure, we can make changes that will capitalize on our offer rather than making a total mess. This concept of clear structure goes back to one of my previous blogs, A Little Detour Goes a Long Way. By simplifying our goals, we were able to achieve a clean, clear design that shows the power of PowerPURL. Check out the site for yourself at www.PowerPURL.com
