Carpet… check. Electricity… check. Monitor… check. We scroll through the list of items repeatedly in anticipation of the DMA 06 tradeshow in San Francisco. Despite my nervousness of overlooking an item during these last weeks of preparation pandemonium, there are a few completed items that have prevented me from perspiring:
- We managed to squeeze a bunch of information into a one-minute demo that captures highlights of our product, Fuse. We now have something that can briefly show people what we do and we’ll be expanding on it for our corporate web site. In the process of creating this demo I have also developed a new found respect for editors of commercial advertisements.
- We’ve mailed a poster campaign that directs pre-registered attendees to a personalized web page. Can you believe we personally rolled, labeled, bundled, capped, and accounted for each poster ourselves?! … The posters however were fun to design, and the labels to each poster were a cinch to match because of our product’s ability to presort data.
- I designed a booth graphic that displays the closed-loop multi-channel marketing that Fuse offers: from integrating data and laying out creative to measuring responses retrieved from a personalized landing page.
The diverse media we’ve prepared for the show - the animated Fuse demo, personalized poster/URL campaign, and booth graphic - all demonstrate an original view of Fuse’s power and versatility. Similarly, I find that Fuse’s strength stems from its ability to allow people to communicate using multiple channels. Different formats will speak to different people. By stuffing our boxes with a strong set of versatile tools, connecting with people at the show might not be so difficult!
