We’ve been playing a lot with words this week — datasheet, a couple of direct mail campaigns, rewrites of this and that — and Robert asked me to come up with a few words to summarize our product. After writing my 100 words (approx.), I emailed it around for others to bang on and polish.
My very earnest effort:
Fuse is browser-based software that allows the user to upload artwork and data lists, create layouts and formulas, and output highly variable documents such as personalized direct mail. Fuse also provides the ability to host personal URLs for variable, personalized web pages and real-time data collection. Built-in tools to support these functions include list management, address cleansing and presorting, reporting, pricing, billing, production management, and collaboration management. Fuse has a full API allowing custom application development, automation, and integration with CRMs or other legacy systems. These features work together to streamline development and deployment of highly targeted messages.
Jon came back with something much more fun:

Mailman Delivers
It’s a good thing I love my job or I’d feel so inferior. Instead, I’d like to solicit poetry for possible publication on our home page.
Update: Jon has delivered a few more to my inbox.
