I usually just trash anything that looks like spam or phishing. The other day, I received an email with the last four digits of my credit card number in it which concerned me enough that I decided to report it to the vendor cited in the email.
Joke’s on me, that one was actually real.
Aside from this getting my attention fast and being a little creepy, it’s also illustrative of the issue in this article at E-Commerce Times.
I really hate the fact that people refer to some Spam as Phishing.. Phish also happens to be the name of one of my favorite bands. They are currently broken up but they will be back eventually when they are older and are running out of money... Hell look at the Stones!
